Tamara is a highly accomplished Registered Dental Hygienist and a Certified Specialist in Orofacial Myology, having earned her CSOM from the Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences (GSBHS). As the visionary owner of Facial Physique Myofunctional Therapy, established in San Diego in 2017, Tamara is deeply committed to enhancing oral and systemic health through specialized care that improves breathing and craniofacial development for both children and adults.
Currently, Tamara serves as the esteemed President of the National Network of Healthcare Hygienists (NNHH), where she passionately advocates for advancements in the field and empowers dental hygienists to integrate crucial systemic health principles into their daily practice. Her dedication to education extends to her role as a distinguished speaker for the interdisciplinary STAR course, which promotes a collaborative approach to addressing sleep, ties, and airway issues. Furthermore, she holds a Certificate in the Oral Systemic Educator Certificate Program, underscoring her expertise in the vital connection between oral health and overall wellness.

Selina Preston, CSOM
Selina, a Registered Dental Hygienist and a Certified Specialist in Orofacial Myology, having earned her CSOM from the Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences (GSBHS), embarked on her dental career after graduating from Concorde Career College in San Diego, having moved from her hometown of Lompoc, California. Since 2019, she has been a valued associate of Facial Physique.
Her profound interest in orofacial myofunctional therapy sparked by its personal impact, led her to pursue advanced education. Selina is also a Breathe Institute ambassador, and a graduate of Myomentor, MyoMastermind, and MyoCircle programs. She is also a speaker for the interdisciplinary STAR course, sharing her expertise on sleep, ties, and airway issues.
Throughout her extensive studies, Selina has cultivated a deep passion for educating families and is committed to providing services that guide optimal growth and development for children, including specialized oral habits cessation programs.
Her personal journey into motherhood in 2020 further underscored the critical importance of early orofacial dysfunction detection in newborns, reinforcing her belief in multidisciplinary collaboration for promoting optimal feeding and developmental outcomes from infancy. She is deeply engaged in community initiatives, fostering awareness and synergy between these disciplines to enhance comprehensive patient care.
Selina Preston, CSOM

Selina was born in Denver, grew up in Lompoc California, and moved to sunny San Diego to pursue her dental career. Selina enjoys spending time with her family and friends and stays active snowboarding and exploring San Diego’s beautiful beaches.
After graduating from Concorde Community College as a Dental Hygienist, Selina gained knowledge and understanding of orofacial myology and realized she would benefit from orofacial myology sessions. This led her to advance her education and training and become a Certified Specialist in Orofacial Myology (CSOM) and a graduate of the Myomentor Program.
Selina and her husband recently welcomed their first child and now has first-hand experience of orofacial dysfunction in newborns and knows the importance of collaborating with knowledgeable orofacial therapist and pediatricians to encourage successful newborn feedings. Selina is also passionate about bridging the gap between the medical and dental field and stays active in her community to increase awareness.
